Nancy Wilson

 

Nancy Oakley Wilson, age 92, Lived, Loved, Laughed, Cried, and Cared before going to be with The Lord on Friday, July 31, 2026, while at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on December 3, 1933, in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Jim and Lucille Young Oakley. Nancy was retired from Wachovia Bank after fifty-two years of service as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and, after retirement, continued working at Gateway Pharmacy in Kernersville as well as volunteering at Forsyth Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Wilson Mabe, and a brother, James Taylor Oakley.

 

Her memory will be cherished by son-in-law, Philip Mabe; grandchildren, Joshua and Ashley Mabe; great-grandchild, Draven Mabe; brother, Allen Oakley and wife, Christy; niece, Debbie Wall and husband, Edward; nephew, Jimmy Oakley and wife, Diane; nephew, Chip Oakley and wife, Rada; several great-nieces and nephews, and cousins; and many special friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Pastor David Peeler officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Memorial gifts may be directed to Bethlehem UMC, 5410 Pine Hall Road, Walnut Cove, NC 27052, or to one's favorite charity.
