Kay was a dear friend to many of us. We were scared for her during her first bout with cancer, and were so happy when she was able to return to work. We were then saddened when it returned a few years later and claimed her life on July 23, 2001.

Kay was one of the best. She fought hard during both of her bouts with cancer, and when she was at work, she did not let her feelings interfere with what she felt she had to do. I miss her to this day and think of her often. One of my biggest regrets for her was that she was not able to finished obtaining her college degree from Salem. I believe I am right in saying she only had three courses left to complete. It was one of her strongest motivations in the last few years of her life.
She would have loved to attend this reunion, but I am confident she will be there in spirit.

This news is really sad for me....

Kay and I worked together in our first job at Wachovia.....in MasterCard in 1969. She was my right arm and best friend.......god how I hate time passing away from us all.

Kay passed away a couple weeks after my mother did in July 2001. She and my mother were in the Hospice Home at the same time. I'd go visit my mother, then go down the hall to visit with Kay. Kay was my supervisor for about 6 years and a very courageous lady. I will never forget her.

3/4/10******I have been in contact with Kay's daughter, Sherry. She is married and has 2 little girls and her Dad, John lives with them. She works for her local newspaper.

When I started working at Wachovia I worked for Dick Menius, Paul Kreuch, Don (?)and Kay. Kay and I became close friends. She was a wonderful person and friend. We spent many happy hours together. I visited Winston-Salem and was with Kay not long before she passed away.
