IN MEMORY

A. C. Hunt

February 2 1921 - July 2, 1991

When I was transferring back to Winston  in 1979 (or was it 1980?)  - Mr Hunt hired me and thus started what wound up being about a 20 year stretch in National Banking.   One of my Raleigh colleagues sent Mr Hunt a 'sympathy' card  for having made such a hiring decision.  We laughed often about that..  (Irma Comer)

My first "partner" in the National Division was A.C. He ran the Northeast and we all worked for Royce Hough, who ran Corporate. A.C. was a true professional who had a great sense of humor coupled with abundant patience which he needed as he managed Walter Jewett, Tim Christopher, Rick Armstrong, and yours truly. He was a true gentleman with an unbelievable cadre of loyal customers and prospects. He had a blessed partnership with Jackie, and an unfailing commitment and loyalty to Wachovia.
