Gray  died suddenly Thurs., Dec 10. at his home. 

Charlotte:      April 11, 1969 - December 10, 2015

Mr. Lester Gray Bennett III, loving husband, son, brother, father and friend, age 46, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his home. He was born April 11, 1969 in Surry County to Lester Gray Bennett Jr and Wanda May Mayes Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a member of Quaker Gap Baptist Church. Gray was Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank. He joined the bank in 1989 and had a successful career where he held multiple positions over the years. His leadership had a deep impact on his many colleagues. Gray was a kind, loving, caring man, sharing his time, wisdom & knowledge as a mentor and role model to so many people. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He appreciated the beauty of the outdoors. Gray was a die-hard Saints fan and was a friend of Bill. Gray married Cissie Bennett in 2013 and they had what they describe as the "perfect loving and giving marriage." "Their happiest place on earth was in each other's presence." Gray was not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives he touched

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cissie Clarke Bennett of the home; parents, Lester Gray Bennett Jr. & Wanda May Mayes Bennett; daughter, Renee Nicole Kimball; son, Brandon Craig Kimball; step children, Taylor Dickson & Keyes Dickson; grandchildren, Logan Gray Furr, Cabot Clayton Dickson & Lowell Keyes Dickson; sister & brother-in-law, Krista Bennett Simmons (Keith); adopted sisters, Rosa Rios & Sheila Cecile; brother, Jamie Leo Bennett; nephews, Grayson Keith Simmons & Devin Reid Simmons; mother-in-law, "GaGa"; special friends, Gray Webster, Garrett Chapman, Doug Collier, Fred Cooke, Kevin Walker, Andy Chambers, Mark Ensley, Dan Hogue, Larry Ferguson & Freddie Cecile and many other family, friends and colleagues too numerous to mention. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lester & Ruby Bennett; maternal grandparents, Leo & Gracie Mayes; adopted grandparents, Chuck & Dottie Johnston and special aunt, Faye Lowe.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Quaker Gap Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Terry Boggs, Rev. Yates Wilkerson & Rev. Gerald Jones. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jamie Leo Bennett Trust Fund in care of Gray Webster. Donations will be accepted at any BB&T Bank location. I am very surprised and sad to hear of Gray's passing.  I worked with him for several years back in the 90's and liked him alot.  God Bless his children.
