12/22/2010:  Our Old Gang friend Sharon Rusk has shared the sad news of Don's unexpected death.   Don, age approx 62, was found dead in his home by one of his daughters on 12/22.  Don had suffered with throat cancer, and recently had one of his legs amputed due to peripheral artery disease.  His cause of death is not yet determined.    Don was a programmer at Wachovia for over 25 years and was a great friend to many.

Donald George Burke Jr., born in Washington D.C. on November 11, 1947 passed away at his home on December 21, 2010. Don served in the US Air Force and later retired from Wachovia. He is survived by his three daughters, Michelle Burke of Winston-Salem, Brandy Burke of Lewisville, and Brittany Burke of Greensboro, and his brother Richard Burke of Rockville, MD. A Memorial Service will be held at Vogler and Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons, NC at 2:00 p.m. January 1, 2011
