Juanita Riley Baynes, 64, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Juanita was born in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of Paul Edward and Earline McGaha Riley. She started her working career with Wachovia Bank and retired after 40 years of service. Juanita loved the ocean and the beach, travel and genealogy, tracing her family history. Her pride and joy was Grayson Paul, her loving grandson. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Mary Elizabeth Baynes and partner, Kelly McSweeney of Leesburg, VA and grandson, Grayson Paul McSweeney; sister, Paula Wall and brother-in-law John Wall of Greensboro, NC and sister, Deborah Riley of High Point, NC.

A Gathering of family and friends to share memories of Juanita's life will be held on Monday, March 25, 6:30 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society , 4 A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408.
