INGRAM WINSTON-SALEM - Michael "Mike" Ingram, 54, passed away Friday morning October 8, 2010 at his home. Born November 15, 1955, Michael spent his childhood in Rural Hall forming friendships that would last a lifetime. Soon after graduating from North Forsyth High School in 1974 he began working for Wachovia. During his 18 years with Wachovia, he held various positions in the Student Loans, Human Resources and Trust departments. The past 17 years Michael's declining health prevented him from working but not from sharing his beautiful spirit with everyone in his life. We will greatly miss his wonderful smile and infectious laugh, his generous and compassionate spirit and his way of putting people at ease with his calm and caring personality. Left behind to cherish his memory are: Michael's wife of 30 years, Denise Flynn Ingram; loving daughter, Tiffany Ingram; parents, Junior and Pat Ingram; parents-in-law, Carl and Betty Flynn; brothers by birth, David and Stan Ingram; brother and sisters of the heart, Charlie and Debbie Reese, Alita Semones, Anita Clayton and Marcia Adams; nieces, nephews, cousins, the Tuttle family, and many others. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home 2599 Reynolda Road. A Graveside Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church Cemetery of Stanleyville. Michael's family extends special thanks to the Oncology nurses and staff at Forsyth Medical Center for the tender care they gave to Michael during his brave battle with Leukemia. Special thanks also to Donna Wilson of Hospice Home Care and the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Center as they supported Michael and his loved ones with love, care and dignity. Michael cared deeply for the seniors in our community and was a supporter of Senior Services. The family welcomes flowers, which Michael loved, or memorials to Senior Services, Inc., 2895 Shorefair Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 or www.seniorservices
