Mrs. Suzanne Elliott Berthold, 77, a resident of Salemtowne Retirement Community, died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Berthold was born November 21, 1930 in Forest City, NC, to Hoyle and Alma Stroup Elliott. She was a graduate of Women’s College in Greensboro which is now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church. She retired from Wachovia Bank and enjoyed carving wooden birds. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Richard Elliott. She is survived by her husband, Harold Richard Berthold; and two brothers: Robert Elliott of Forest City and Bruce Elliott of Huntington, New York.
