BROWN DILLWYN, VA Melissa Stavrou Brown Nov. 29, 1957 - Apr. 5, 2014 Melissa Stavrou Brown, 56, of Dillwyn, VA died April 5th, 2014 at her home. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC on Nov. 29, 1957 to the late Nicholas and Matilda Goetz Stavrou. Melissa was retired from Wells Fargo where she worked as a computer scheduler. Melissa was a quiet and very gentle lady who remained humble as she rode to great success with her hunters throughout her years. Melissa loved the world of nature and all animals. She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Jerry Brown, her loving brother, Nick Stavrou of Winston-Salem and numerous other family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, Va. Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, or the SPCA.
