THROCKMORTON WESTFIELD Karen Butner Throckmorton Oct. 13, 1952 - Oct. 18, 2013 Mrs. Karen Butner Throckmorton, age 61 of Westfield, died Friday, October 18, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident in which her husband Jerry Michael Throckmorton was critically injured. Karen was born in Forsyth County on October 13, 1952, to the late Cyrus Watson Butner and Eunice Mabe Butner. She graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School and was employed at Wells Fargo (Wachovia) for 32 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jerry Michael Throckmorton, of the home; daughter, Christa Butner Coppley, and her husband, Marshall, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Nathan Cruz, Jonathan Cruz, Toby Coppley and Samantha Denny; and two step-grandchildren, Kristine Coppley and Alex Coppley. Karen is survived by her brother, Cyrus Butner, and his children, Justine Butner and Rene? Butner. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 5th at 6:00 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home (Main Street). The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
