Mrs. Joan Eileen Hooper, 58 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born October 8, 1952 in New York to William Donald and Mary Wright Putney. Mrs. Hooper was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She was employed with Wells Fargo for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William Putney. Surviving are her husband, William Hooper of Winston-Salem; two sons, William J. Hooper and wife… Jeanie of Winston-Salem and Jason Thomas Hooper and wife Michelle of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Aaron, Bryson, Michael and Julia; two sisters, Helene Wood and Kay Frandsen.
