Sybil Carol Cassidy Lawson, 56, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born January 20, 1959 in Chesterfield, SC to Allen Russell and Carolyn Thelma Tarlton Cassidy, Sr.. Sybil was employed with Wells Fargo in Winston-Salem for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Oscar "Peanut" Cassidy. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Glenn Lawson; a daughter, Amanda (Drew) Bromm; her father, Allen Russell "Jimmy" Cassidy, Sr.; two step-children, Brandi Lynn Lawson and Matthew John Lawson; one brother, Allen (Janet) Cassidy; two nephews, Allen Russell Cassidy III and Paul David Cassidy. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Pinnacle Baptist Church with Drew Bromm, Minister and Rev. Danny Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Slate Funeral Home in King. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
