Mrs. Carolyn Ruth Cheek, 71, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1943 in Forsyth County to the late Ralph and Vivian Sellars Carper. Mrs. Cheek was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Wachovia Bank (currently Wells Fargo). She is survived by her former husband, Harold Cheek; two daughters, Wendy Stack (Alton) of Georgetown, DE, Victoria Davis of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Donovan "Chase" Espinosa of Indian Trail, NC; one sister, Ginger Bauguess of Kernersville; and two brothers, Bill Carper and Mark Carper, both of Long Beach, NC. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church in the Angel Room with Ken Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
