PULLIAM Ms. Diane Elizabeth Scales Pulliam, 40, of 159 Turnwood Lane, died Friday morning, May 12, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Oct. 26, 1959, in Winston-Salem to Bill R. and Betty Lou Hicks Scales.
Ms. Pulliam was a member of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and the Women's Bible Study group. She graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in 1978 and attended Wingate College. She was employed by Wachovia Bank as a buyer in the strategic sourcing department.
Surviving are her parents of Winston-Salem; one son, Ricky Lane Pulliam Jr. of Winston-Salem; one sister and brother-in-law, Lynne and Glenn Hancock of Troy; one niece and nephew, Ashley and Austin Whitley, both of Albemarle; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends who loved her very much.
Visitation will be at Voglers on Reynolda Road from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 14. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, at Forsyth Memorial Park by Dr. David Hughes. There will also be a memorial service at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 501 W . 5th Street, with Dr. Hughes and Mrs. Lori Carter officiating. The family will receive friends in Kelly Auditorium after the memorial service.
