Mrs. Ellen Patterson Boose, 75, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

She was born November 16, 1939 in Winston-Salem to the late Glenn Solomon and Esther Fleming Patterson.

She spent her early life and was educated in Old Town, NC and graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School. She worked as a homemaker until 1986. She then took a job at Wachovia and retired there in 2009. Worked with Dillards for a short time then worked with Novant Health.

Mrs. Boose was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Chancel Choir. She was involved with the youth choir in the 70’s. She also attended Maple Springs Methodist Church where she actively sang in the choir as well as performed with the bell choir.
Mrs. Boose sang with the Moramus Chorale of Winston-Salem for many years.

Mrs. Boose was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Boose JR.

She is survived by two sons, George N. Boose III (Chip), wife Barbara, Timothy Glenn Boose of Winston Salem. One daughter, Kristie Freeman Boose of Chapel Hill. One brother, Sonny Patterson, wife Jeannie of Pfafftown NC. Five Grandsons: Corey Freeman, and Joshua, Brandon, Michael and Matthew Boose; One granddaughter, Bailey Boose; Six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, and Sadie Boose, and Tristen, Hayden and Chloie Boza.

Funeral Services will be held at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 7-9 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home, Reynolda Chapel 2599 Reynolda Road. Online condolences may be made through www.salemfh.com.
