Greensboro, NC: Barbara Lane Hoffman ,82, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2016, at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel.

Barbara was born on August 11, 1934 in Morganton, NC to the late Lillie Branch and William Edgar Lane. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Hickory, NC. She was retired from Wells Fargo, formerly Wachovia Bank, where she was Executive Vice President in Greensboro. 

Barbara was known by her family and friends as selfless, giving and loving. She constantly put others ahead of herself and selflessly worked to give her daughter and granddaughters everything possible. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed traveling with her family to the beach, watching her granddaughters sporting events and working in the yard.
She was a beautiful woman in mind, heart and spirit and will always be remembered as everyone’s “Nini”.
She is survived by her daughter, Nichole Hoffman MacEldowney, son-in-law, Tim MacEldowney and two granddaughters, Morgan Nichole and Abigail Marie MacEldowney.
The family will receive friends from 5- 7 PM Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel and also at the home of Nichole and Tim after Monday’s memorial service.
The family wishes to thank all of the amazing caregivers at Beacon Place/Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their kindness and compassion during her stay.
