Stormy was one of the equity traders in the trust investment department, who reported to Michael Tierney.

Stormy Stone Jones 66, of Winnabow died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Robeson County October 15, 1950, the daughter of the late Hubert Stone and Jean Walters Stone.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Jones and her son, Brian Smith.

Mrs. Jones worked with One Main Financial in Wilmington after retiring as Senior Vice President at Wachovia Bank.  She was a member of Riegelwood Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Surry Community College and received an associate degree.

She loved spending time with family, traveling, attending Broadway shows and cooking.  Stormy enjoyed life to the fullest.

She is survived by a daughter, Soundra Brannan and husband, Warren of Sanford; a brother, H. Stanley (Butch) Stone and wife, Beverly of Carolton, KY; six sisters, Teddy Stone of Winnabow, Dixie Gurkin of Sandy Creek, Melody Bullock of of Lake View, SC,  Betty Williamson and husband Jimmy of Cerro Gordo, Starla Graves of Louisville, KY, Jackie Bass and husband, Horace of Nichols, SC; four grandchildren, Gavin Brannan, Richard Brannan, Daniel Brannan, Jacob Brannan; one great grandson, Jackson Brannan.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 3, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 pm Monday, July 3, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
