Bill was stable and quiet, with a grin that let you know he was human. He worked things out and then asked for help. A great guy to work with.

I was in systems at Wachovia and worked with Bill on the "old" retail loan system as well as development of the "new" system.  He was the "go to" person for any issue on the old system as well as advice on how to make the "new" system best serve the customrs and the staff who handled the "day to day" operation.

He was old school in that cooperation and face to face discussions were more powerful than a thousand memos.

Condolences to his family

Bill Mustin was my supervisor when I joined Wachovia Bank.  He taught me all about accounting for consumer loans and his patience was boundless.  He was never too busy to answer questions, and each answer increased my knowledge, enabling me to be a better employee.  He encouraged me to continue learning new things related to conversion to a computer accounting system for our loans.  Every accomplishment attained in a 40 year career has roots in his teachings.  Bill was a kind, caring person and will be sorely missed by all his friends.
