IN MEMORY

Etheleen Duckett

WINSTON-SALEM 6/29/1959 - 2/21/2019 Ms. Etheleen Levon Duckett, 59, was born in Winston-Salem, NC on June 29, 1959 to the late Robert and Etheleen P. Duckett. She joined her parents in heaven on February 21, 2019 after courageously surviving breast cancer for 20 years. Inspired by her late grandmother, Katy Peoples, Etheleen learned the art of making delicious chow chow. She was owner and distributor of "Inspired by Grandma Katy Chow Chow." For years, Etheleen diligently prepared jars of chow chow for numerous households and store shelves. Etheleen's employment included six years of service with the Department of Social Services and 27 years at Wachovia Bank. Etheleen was a faithful member of United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church for 32 years. Etheleen leaves to cherish their fond memories: her sisters, Jackie Frazier and Dorothy Hughes; her brother, Robert J. Duckett, Jr.; an aunt, Alice Scott, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. The family visitation will be from 11 am until 12 noon with funeral service at 12 noon. (Clark S. Brown & Sons)
