Ken Pulliam

 

Kenneth P. Pulliam died April 12, 2022, at Trellis Hospice after a long illness. He was 92. Born in South Charleston, WV, he was predeceased by his parents, his brother Ralph and an infant brother. He graduated from South Charleston High School and earned a civil engineering degree from Cincinnati University. He also completed a graduate course in traffic engineering at Yale University. He served in the U.S. Army in the Topological Battalion in Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Ken worked for the WV State Road Commission as a traffic engineer, General Electric Computer Division in Bethesda, MD, utilizing both his traffic engineering and computer expertise, Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo) in Winston-Salem, NC in the Computer Division and the Trust Department, and T. Leavell & Associates, Mobile, AL as an investment counsellor, portfolio manager and go-to computer guru, retiring in 2009.

Ken is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lee Pulliam, and several cousins.

Thanks to Trellis Supportive Care and to Dr. Richard Worf and Dr. John McCabe for their compassionate and excellent care through the years. Thanks as well to the caring CNAs who came to our aid in Ken's final years.

Ken has donated his body to the Wake Forest Medical School. No services are planned at this time.
