IN MEMORY

Bob Schweitzer

Bob passed away Feb. 21, 2021 after an undiagnosed, but short health issue.
I'm not able to copy/paste the obituary from the link below - but it's hopeful the link will open for all.

Bob was fun to be around, always positive and competent.

I believe I attended a basketball game where Bob and Chip Mahan were the referees. Can't remember when or what teams.

Great Guy!

Ok, I was surprised that there were not more comments posted about Bob--certainly the most unique member of the Corporate Bank training class of 1975.  He left fairly early in his career journey, but I'll bet most of us from that era have a memory or two.  I remember watching Bob slide into the Big Deal Guy table in the 4th floor cafeteria's morning coffee break time.  I think I remember his printing his own Regional Manager cards when he opened the Chicago LPO.  I know I remember Sam Moss always referring to him as "Schweitzer Bob".

We were at Carolina for 2 years in the MBA program before joining the Bank.  On Friday mornings, the undergrads had classes and there were about 15 of us who took over Woolen Gym for full court basketball from 9 to 11.  I'm guessing he's playing with some group right now and my advice to them is don't waste your time trying to get open under the basket--he's not passing the ball!

RIP,

Charles Battle
