A horrible car crash caused by a tractor trailer from what I read in Thursday's paper. I was part of the team hiring Ward after he graduated from college. Probably the happiest person I have ever met, always had a big smile and friendly comment to everyone he met..
A tragic and very sad loss of a good person.

Ward was a longtime cancer survivor, having been successfully treated at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Twenty two years ago I was diagnosed with a similar cancer and I sought the counsel of my Wachovia friend, Ward Miller. Ward was very generous with his wise counsel and good judgment, for which I've been forever grateful. I came to learn later that Ward had been asked to counsel many other people who were similarly situated, and he willingly gave of his time to help others. Ward Miller was a good man who will be missed by many in the Winston-Salem and legacy Wachovia community.

Ward was one of the most positive, happiest, and kindest persons I have ever known . He was a daily blessing to all whom he encountered. His life and unconditional grace and kindness were an inspiration to us all. This earthly Angel has returned to an eternal life.
God Bless this Good Man and his family.

I had previously worked with Ward and he was a kind, generous and funny guy. He loved his famiy and loved the Lord. It is such a blessing knowing he is now looking down at us from heaven smiling that beautiful smile. He will be greatly missed by anyone who ever knew him. May God be with you today and always.

In my contacts with Ward he seemed to draw from this inexhaustible reservoir of positive energy and boundless enthusiasm for whatever we were dealing with. As many have echoed, he was a bright light in the room. Such a tragic loss.
