I am so sorry to hear this announcement. Yes we all called Bob "Peanut". He had a wonderful personality and sense of humor. In the early 90's I bought 30 acres of clear land near Yadkinville to develop into a Horse Farm. I needed a well for water and the Well Company gave me a stake to mark where I wanted the well. I told them I wanted the well where there was water! They looked at me and said .. that was my problem. Well (no pun intended) I did select a "spot" but was not confident there would be water there at any depth. Someone had told me that Peanut knew how to FIND water using a fork stick. Yea... right! So I go the Peanut and beg him to come out and find me a good water spot. Sure enough he shows up on a Saturday morning. We walk all over 30 acres, me following Peanut and his "sticks". He said he got some "light" hits at different locations. Then we walked up to where I had staked out "my" spot. Peanut says... "I think you should drill here". WHAT?? We had just spent 2 hours walking 30 acres and come back to where I randomly drove a stake into the ground? NOO! Peanut said.. "no, I think it's here". I gotta say... I thought he was pulling my leg.
The next week the Well Drillers came out and started their work at the spot picked by me and Peanut. They drilled down about 400 ft and was getting some water but not enough for a house and Barn. At 423 ft we hit a gusher! It turned out to be an artesian well! Not only could this well supply a house and a barn, it could supply the whole neighborhood. I was so excited I couldn't wait to tell Peanut the next day. I did find him at work and told him the wole story and how excited I was and thanks for his help. Peanut just looked at me and smiled that "I told you so" smile and said "you are welcome". I never doubted him again !! That story and Peanut will live with me for the rest of my life and I will continue to tell it to others. RIP Peanut RIP.

I don't have a great story like the other folks do but I can say I always enjoyed talking with Peanut and his smile was infectious.
Have a great checker game in heaven..
