Ralph Edwin Tate, 90, passed away October 23, 2017, in Aberdeen, NC where he lived with his son and daughter-in-law. 

He was born in Gaston County, to the late George Young Tate and Lela Dellinger.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Gray.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Catherine Greer Tate, one son Ralph  Edwin Tate, Jr. and his wife Patricia Ann, two daughters Beverly Elaine Tate-Cooper and husband Roger and Catherine Eugenia Tate Jaton and husband Tim.  Two granddaughters Tamara Jade Tate and Ashley Murray.

Ralph served in the United States Navy and graduated from Wake Forest College with a Bachelor Degree May of 1949.  He worked for Wachovia Bank as Senior Vice President of the Loan and Administration Department from which he retired after 30+ years of service.

A graveside service will be held, December 2nd 11:00 AM,  at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro.
